Best brushes for acrylic paintings
Synthetic watercolor brushes are the best for acrylic paintings. They are
much harder wearing and less expansive than sable brushes. The most popular
brushes used by acrylic painters are those made from hogs hair. They are
available in four shapes i.e. flat, bright, filbert and round. Flat brushes
are square ended, bright brushes are flat with rounded tips while the shapes
of filbert and round brushes is self explanatory.
The acrylic painters also use a very special brush called 'rigger'. This
brush has stable, hair or synthetic bristle, which are much longer than the
average brushes.
